* *Women Staying in Madina Without Mahram*   *Question:* Salam   I stay in India.   My mother and sister want to visit Madina and stay there for a week.   But I have some urgent work in India.   Can I drop them to Madina and come back to India ?   Can they stay there for a week without mehram ?   I shall go to pick them after a week, however what is ruling of their dwelling there without mehram for a week.   🟨🟨🟨 ANSWER 🟨🟨🟨   وعلیکم السلام   If a woman travels a distance that is considered to be travel in Islamic law (i.e., 92 kilometers or more), it is necessary for her to be accompanied by a mahram (a male family member she cannot marry) or her husband. And it is haram (prohibited) to undertake such travel without a mahram or husband.
